Overview
Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Quang Uyen (L/D)
Morning: Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or at Mr. Linh’s Adventures office. We will drive towards Lang Son, heading for the Chinese border.
First stop: Chi Lang Pass, a 20 km-long gorge created by a narrow valley between two mountains, which has been a significant historical battleground since 981 AD.
Explore: The Quy Mon Quan Gate, also known as “The Gate of Monsters,” famous for many victorious battles against Chinese invaders.
Lunch: At a local restaurant in Dong Dang.
Afternoon: Continue the journey to visit Mother’s Temple and Dong Khe, the site of a major battle during the First Indochina War in 1950.
Evening: Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at a Nung ethnic homestay in Quang Uyen.
Highlights & Activities: Chi Lang Pass, Quy Mon Quan Gate, Dong Khe Battle Site, ethnic villages, and a 35km walk.
Chi Lang Pass (Lang Son)
Day 2: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be National Park (B/L/D)
Morning: After breakfast at the homestay, depart for Trung Khanh near the Chinese border.
Visit: Phuoc Sen Village, a mountainous community of the Nung people, famous for their traditional blacksmithing.
Next stop: Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most stunning waterfalls in Vietnam, located along the border between Vietnam and China. You’ll have time to soak in the natural beauty and capture some stunning photos.
Explore: Nguom Ngao Cave, a 2,144-meter-long cave filled with impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
Afternoon: Head back to Cao Bang and take the “Snake Pass” to Ba Be Lake.
Evening: Stay overnight in a traditional Tay homestay, where you’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi (B/L)
Morning: After breakfast, you’ll board a boat for a peaceful ride across Ba Be Lake. Enjoy the views of limestone karsts covered in lush greenery, or take a dip in the cool waters.
Visit: Puong Grotto, a fascinating cave formed by river erosion, home to thousands of bats.
Afternoon: Begin the journey back to Hanoi with a stop at a tea plantation along the way.
Late afternoon: Arrive in Hanoi, marking the end of the tour with unforgettable memories.
